LOL yes. And didn’t a bunch of spells just… not work?
(come to think of it, FFII was pretty messed up too, though I think some of that was just poor choices by the designers, rather than actual bugs ha)
Urgh I hated 2’s leveling system. Didn’t finish it because of that.

I’m putting together an FF pronunciation meme/challenge thing, since I can’t seem to find any major one anyone else has done. Should I include stuff that got remakes or was featured in games with voice acting? I mean, no matter how many times I’m told it’s “Tee-dus” or “Seh-sil” I’m sitll gonna say “Tide-us” and “Cee-cil”, etc.

Summoners have esteem issues.
Since only a few people are ever Summoners (usually), it makes sense that it involves making some sort of bond. In a lot of the games, you have to defeat the Summon before you can use them. Sometimes you even have to have some previous link (Terra in 6 being part-Esper, Rydia in 4 living among them, Yuna in 10 actually praying for help, Faris and Lenna in 5 having connections to Syldra and Hiryuu) before you can call upon them.
So I think this means that, when Summoners call upon a Summon, their minds are linked even if it’s only for the time of one attack. This can cause imprinting upon the Summoner’s mind, and their sense of self becomes lessened. How could they compare to these amazing, (kind of) near-immortal beings that aid them so much in battle?
So even if they act with bravado, all Summoners have some sort of issue because of being a Summoner.
Katara doesn’t like Aang’s weird answers and Toph is confused by that mess of a game.
Day 10- Best Gameplay
FFX… Hear me out! This one got rid of the ATB, which makes it easier to plan while still providing some randomness. They were limit breaks (overdrives), and everyone had their niche. Maybe a little too niche at times, but still. The sphere grid was better than 12’s License Grid or random leveling, and moving around was simple. Tilt equals walk, hold the analog stick down and it’s a run. Intuitive! There was something else but now I don’t remember it. >.>
I love the detailing on the Magitek armor, and her expression just kind of says “I’m free… Everything looks so beautiful.” Very pretty. <3
