Just whatever random thoughts that I get. A lot of it is media stuff, and there's a little social justice but not near enough for me to feel like I'm doing my part but I'm working on that! Also sometimes I feel depressed so there will be angst-filled posts as well sorry. I tend to go through stages with stuff, obsessing over it and then ignoring it for a while so deal with it. And um thanks for stopping by I guess?

“How would I know?”
“Because you know everything.”
“I do know everything.”
“Donna…”
So are officeworker-types named Donna just all absolutely brilliant and underused snark masters?
final thoughts for the episode:
-DAMMIT STOP KILLING OFF JENNA-LOUISE COLEMAN’S CHARACTERS PLZKTHX
-Like honestly it wouldn’t bug me if they hadn’t been essentially exactly the same personality?
-And the Ponds gave us enough timey-wimey hijinks wrapped around singular people
-Overall the snow’s defeat was very deus ex machina-y, like a lot of the episodes lately. I feel like they should’ve just left it with the memory worm (because that MADE SENSE and was THERE but not in a way that clubbed you over the head) bit.
-Needs more Vastra and Jenny
-No really just give them their own show (NOT WRITTEN BY MOFFAT).
-If there’s another bait-and-switch with Clara it might just be the last straw of this show for me.
-Also the fact that she seems to be yet ANOTHER girl who’s going to be built up from the start as something special. Like, no, don’t tell us she’s special, show us, like with Martha and Donna. They’re both heroes, just as much as Rose or Amy or River (even more so in Donna’s case, to me), but they weren’t built up as such so exemplify the “every human’s special” thing that this show claims to have because they were extraordinary in their own ways not because the universe says so.
okay seeing it not in a still, i actually do like the new TARDIS interior… except the main console isn’t as cluttered as I’m used to and I kinda don’t like that as much.
i’m kind of glad my dad needs a nap right now and is pausing this
because watching it is not fun
at all
at least when ten had his breakdown he was smug and cocky enough about it to still be entertaining, or the other stuff going on kept me interested
eleven’s just being mean and angsty with no flair to make it fun
and the plot of this just seems kinda really badly paced. the fastness of previous ones is the one thing about the last few seasons that has kept me distracted from how bad the episodes can be while i was watching them.
ew Doctor you’ve been alone too long again haven’t you
you’re being mean and horrible and you’ve lost your wonder no stop it
STOP IT WE SAW THIS CHARACTER ARC WITH TEN WE GET IT IF HE’S ALONE TOO LONG HE GETS FULL OF HIMSELF AND DISCONNECTED AND NEEDS REMINDERS OF HOW TO PROPERLY HELP PEOPLE
Can we at least have this arc AFTER a set of companions? Ten went through three peeps seperately before reaching that point. Eleven’s had Amy and Rory (and sometimes River) but all at once and it just… feels… too soon…???? Like, is each regeneration really that disconnected that he’d hit this point again already?
(at least Lara seems cool if a bit too much like River Song hopefully she doesn’t get ruined)
(what am I talking about it’s Moffat’s show still of course she will)
LADY VASTRA
Also I do not like this new opener. No ew go away give us our nice simple time vortex plzkthx.
AHHHH I GOT A TARDIS HAT

IT’S GOT THE FLOPPY EAR THINGS AND LITTLE TRAILS ON IT (no entry sign though)
[Gifset: Rory meeting River during A Good Man Goes to War.]
#OMG It happened after The Angels Take Manhattan for her #CRYING
I CANT
wait but isn’t this her coming back to her cell and didn’t she say she’s not in jail anymore because the man she murdered doesn’t officially exist so how could she have killed him?
so it can’t be after ATM, or even that much further after the last season finale.

although, how does no one WATCH THE STATUE OF LIBERTY MOVING FROM ITS PLACE?
like, nice idea
BUT WHAT
WHAT
(see, moffat, THIS is an instance where it would be okay to pull in a bunch of random people, where you should have left them away from the ep for DoaS)
okay, THIS amy and rory is the amy and rory we should’ve been seeing the past four episodes.
yeah no just checked again and
THOSE WERE NORMAL PEOPLE
WHY ARE THEY BEING IGNORED
wait what about those people laying on the slabs in the ship?
were those just the funnel-mouthed guys? who were they anyways?
and if not why did the Doctor and the Ponds ignore them?
dimbosama replied to your post: normally Eleven’s childishness is a good thing …
He only has two regenerations left though, I took it as he wants to do as much as he can before the end, and so that’s reflected in Eleven being really intolerant of boredom.
But it’s the whining that gets to me. Like, he goes out and does stuff, he finds things himself, he orders other people around. With this, he sat there and was annoying the Ponds until they volunteered to watch it, which is really coercive and really childish and really demeaning to them.
Plus, he goes out and does other stuff which is… odd? Normally when he switches he still is working on the overall problems if not the immediate ones, and instead of going out to see if the cubes naturally clustered anywhere or if they appeared at sunrise for everyone or the same time globally, he… paints a fence and does a thing with a soccer ball (I don’t know sports so idk if he was just horsing around or actually doing a thing?) and cleans. Which, useful in general but not right now which just isn’t what we normally see?
normally Eleven’s childishness is a good thing
he’s got that simple wonder, but he doesn’t let it get in the way of things.
but he basically just had a little temper tantrum (thankfully without any screaming or punching things or whatever else)
and it’s not sitting well
Nine was a cynical sassypants, Ten was playful, and Eleven’s supposed to be an optimistic scholar (or has been for the most part)
And this little “but I’m bored~~~~~!” bit grates.
okay
i love when we get “doctor is getting disengaged and losing his compassion” eps
BUT
this seems a bit sudden
we have seen Eleven getting a bit more ruthless, more jump-the-gun
but we haven’t seen him /alone/
EVERY EPISODE has been with peeps he’s been around before
Ten at least had those specials away from any consistent Companion
I’m not asking for a whole season with the Doctor on his ownsome, but give us one episode where he doesn’t have the Ponds around him plzkthx
(ESPECIALLY SINCE THE PONDS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FUCKING DONE BY NOW IS EVERYONE WRITING FORGETTING THE GOD COMPLEX HM)
