Just whatever random thoughts that I get. A lot of it is media stuff, and there's a little social justice but not near enough for me to feel like I'm doing my part but I'm working on that! Also sometimes I feel depressed so there will be angst-filled posts as well sorry. I tend to go through stages with stuff, obsessing over it and then ignoring it for a while so deal with it. And um thanks for stopping by I guess?

Preparation

I’m preparing for the day.

Clothes. Silk over skin, whispering. Buttons clasping together, laces pulling tight, holding everything in so that I don’t look a fool.

Powder. White, making my complexion that of a ghost’s. Then a touch of red, two spots of blood to give the illusion of health. Black lines over my eyes to make them stand out, two forests near tundra and lava.

My hair needs to go up. A simple tumble of dark curls, accented with a lace ribbon. Still some effort, but not as much as one usually saw.

Accessories. The clanking and clinking of multiple metal parts. Wrists, head, neck, legs, waist.

My attendants look me over, then finally permit me to leave.

I step out of the tent, into the arena, to the roar of a crowd.

I draw my sword. It’s time for the games to start.
